ANNOUNCEMENTS

What you should know when using ground enhancement material. Under almost all soil conditions, the use of a ground enhancement material will improve grounding effectiveness. Some are permanent and require no maintenance. You can use them in areas of poor conductivity, such as rocky ground, mountaintops and sandy soil, where you can’t drive ground rods or where limited space makes adequate grounding difficult with conventional methods.

Jim W6US reported on the NV QSO Party

The Nevada QSO Party is held the 2nd weekend in October with Nevada stations working the world, and out of state stations trying to work the 17 Nevada counties on the different bands and modes. Craig AE7I was the High Nevada Low Power CW score with 376 contacts for 200,910 points. There were 22 Nevada stations that turned in logs, and 191 total logs for the entire contest. Full results will be posted in a couple of weeks at nvqso.com

At our meetings you can count on good conversation.

New people that have questions will find answers here.

Members are encouraged to get on the air at home and in the field.
